Leaving Kinlochewe was better sweet. So much of the journey completed and only a little time before this wee adventure is over.
The view of Torridon were obscured as the weather was misty and raining today. Did manage a lovely coffee stop at Wee Whistle Stop Cafe in Torridon. The little towns and villages make this adventure so worthwhile. the people are exceptionally welcoming and friendly.
This journey has been full of surprises with the views as you round each corner.
Beinn Eighe is a gorgeous sight, but my mom has another meeting, so I have to wait in the van with her instead of being out there exploring. The temperatures are getting colder with snow already on the mountains. My human mom makes a detour from the traditional NC500 route because she loves Glencoe, and I understand why. The majestic Three Sisters and their autumn colours look amazing.
Heading south we were in for a treat as this route was taking us past Eilean Donan Castle. An absolute must see for anyone in the area.
The next day, we get to see the Three Sisters again, and I meet some Army lads about to walk and climb in the mountains. Such nice men, especially since they think I’m stunning and looking good this morning. I always love a few extra claps (pats) and attention!
This is our last day on the road as we head back to Perth to drop off the van and return home. What my human mom and I learned on this trip is that seven days is not enough time to truly explore the NC500. Now that we’ve completed a recognized trip, it’s time to plan smaller excursions into our favourite spots and those we missed, including a Munro or two!
Join me on this unforgettable adventure as we explore the breathtaking landscapes of Scotland's NC500 together!
